The Facebook group, The Syrian Revolution 2011, which boasts more than 110,000 followers and which has emerged as the organizing force behind the demonstrations that have been demanding “freedom” in Syria reported that at least 3 protesters were killed by the Syrian security forces in the Homs neighborhood of Talbiseh and over 16 other protesters were seriously injured.
The security forces reportedly used tanks to try to disperse the protesters.
The city of Homs urged citizens to donate blood to the Hospital of the Barr Society because there are many wounded people that need it

In Latakia Syrian security forces tossed bombs at the protesters . Unconfirmed reports say one child was killed by one of the bombs
