Loaded oil tanker leaves Libyan rebel held port

An oil tanker sailed from a rebel-held Libyan port on Wednesday and was believed to be carrying a cargo on board, shipping sources said. AIS live ship tracking data on Reuters showed the Liberian-registered tanker Equator, which can carry up to 1 million barrels of oil, off the eastern port of Tobruk with its destination registered as Singapore for orders.

“The vessel now appears to be laden with cargo,” a shipping source said, referring to the depth of a vessel in the water which gives an indication of whether it is loaded. Reuters
