jumblatt - berriSources close to the leader of the National Struggle Front bloc MP Walid Jumblatt told the Al Sharq al Awsat newspaper , that he wil be nominating MP Tammam Salam as the PM designate to lead the new government .

The daily added that prominent sources in the new majority told it ” that House Speaker Nabih Berri and his parliamentary bloc will also be most probably nominating Salam during the consultations . ” The sources also noted that Hezbollah is faced with 3 options:

1- Reach an understanding with Salam.

2- Vote for Finance Minister Mohammad Safadi , the preferred candidate of his ally Change and Reform bloc leader “MP Michel Aoun

3- Have an agreement with Aoun to refrain from naming any candidate.

Other parliamentary sources indicated that “the actual nomination is just the beginning of the process ,” pointing out that “Salam may be unable to form a government if things get too complicated.”

Free Patriotic Movement sources confirmed that Aoun “will not nominate MP Salam or any other candidate from the March 14 alliance as the next prime minister”.

According to observers Jumblatt’s support for Salam makes March 14 the new majority and it will be the alliance that will decide who the next PM will be

In any ‘NORMAL’ democratic procedure, One person nominates by a ‘Motion’, another ‘SECONDS’ the motion, and then there is a VOTE to see if it carries. Has anyone explained these things ???
Perhaps 50 nominations is the real problem here??
